Drunk Dice

One kit. Endless games.

Equipment Needed
Players: 4 people (divided into 2 teams of 2)
Table: A standard 8x4 foot plywood table (or a standard folding table)
Dice: 2 standard six-sided dice
Cups: 4 plastic cups (usually standard 16 oz Solo cups)
Drinks: Beer or your drink of choice
Setup
Positioning: Team members sit or stand next to each other at one short end of the table. The opposing team stands at the opposite end.
Cup Placement: Place one cup at each of the four corners of the table. Each cup should be exactly one hand-width (roughly 3 to 4 inches) away from both the side and end edges.
Fill the Cups: Fill each cup with beer (usually about half a beer or one full can split between the team's two cups).
Objective & Gameplay
The goal is to toss a die high into the air so that it lands on the opponent's side of the table and bounces off the edge without the defense catching it.
Teams take turns tossing. On your team's turn, both you and your partner will get one throw.
Rules for Thriving (The Toss)
The Height Rule: Every toss must go above a specific minimum height ceiling, usually higher than the tallest player or at least 8 to 10 feet. If a throw is too low, the opposing team can call "low," and the throw is void.
The Boundary: The die must hit the opponent’s half of the table. If it hits your own side or misses the table completely, it is a dead ball.
Scoring & Drinking Rules
Points are only scored by the offensive (throwing) team. The defending team must catch the die with one hand only after it bounces off the table, before it hits the floor.

Scenario Point Scored? Who Drinks?
Die hits table and bounces off the end/side (Defense fails to catch it) 1 Point to offense Nobody
Die hits table and defense catches it (Clean catch) No points Nobody
Die hits the opponent's cup directly ("Plink" or "Body") 2 Points to offense Nobody
Die lands directly inside the opponent's cup ("Sink") 3 Points to offense The player whose cup was sunk must chug their entire drink, refill it, and spit the die out.
Die stops flat on the table No points The throwing team must drink a sip.

Winning the Game
The game is traditionally played to 11 points or 21 points.
You must win by 2 clear points.
If a team reaches the winning number, the losing team usually gets a "rebuttal" turn to try and tie it up.
