Fuck the Dealer
One kit. Endless games.
Setup
What you need: A standard 52-card deck and drinks for everyone.
Choosing the first dealer: Every player draws a card. The player with the lowest card starts as the dealer (Aces are usually high or low depending on house rules—just pick one before starting).
The dealer shuffles the deck and holds it face-down.
How to Play (The Core Rules)
Play moves clockwise starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
First Guess: The player guesses the exact numerical value of the top card (Ace, 2–10, Jack, Queen, King).
- If correct: The dealer takes a heavy penalty (usually 4 to 10 drinks, agreed upon before the game starts).
- If incorrect: The dealer must state whether the actual card is higher or lower than the player's guess. The dealer cannot lie.
Second Guess: The player makes a second and final guess based on the higher/lower hint.
- If correct: The dealer takes a smaller penalty (usually 2 to 5 drinks).
- If incorrect: The player must drink the absolute difference between their second guess and the actual card value (e.g., if you guessed 5 and the card was a 2, you drink 3 sips).
Reveal: The card is turned face-up and placed on the table so everyone can see what cards remain in play.
Changing the Dealer
The turn then passes to the next player on the left.
If the dealer successfully beats 3 players in a row (meaning 3 consecutive players fail to guess the card correctly on both tries), the dealing duties pass clockwise to the next person.
Common House Rules
The Fool Rule: If a player guesses a card value that has already been completely revealed and cleared from the table, they face an instant penalty drink (usually 5 sips) for not paying attention.
Face Card Values: Standard values treat Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13, and Ace = 1 or 14 (clarify with your group beforehand).
