Slap Jack

One kit. Endless games.

Setup and Objective
Players: 2 or more.
Goal: Collect all the cards in the deck by being the first to slap every Jack.
Dealing: Shuffle a standard 52-card deck (remove the jokers) and deal them face down as evenly as possible to all players. Players keep their cards in a neat stack without looking at them.
How to Play
Taking Turns: The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and play moves clockwise.
Flipping Cards: On your turn, take the top card of your pile and flip it face-up into the center of the table. Flip the card outward (away from you) so you do not peek at it before opponents see it.
The Slap: The moment a Jack appears face-up in the center pile, every player races to slap their hand down on top of the pile.
Winning the Pile: The player whose hand is directly touching the Jack (the bottom-most hand if multiple players slap) wins the entire center pile. Shuffle those cards and add them face-down to the bottom of your personal stack. The winner then starts the next center pile by flipping their top card.
Penalties and Elimination
Bad Slaps: If a player slaps the center pile when the top card is not a Jack, they must pay a penalty by giving one of their face-down cards to the player who laid down the slapped card.
Running Out of Cards: If your personal pile runs out, you stop turning over cards on your turn, but you stay in the game. You can still try to slap the next Jack.
Getting Back In or Out: If you are out of cards and successfully slap the next Jack first, you win the pile and re-enter the active game. If you miss and someone else wins the Jack, or if you make an invalid slap (slapping a non-Jack when you have no cards), you are permanently eliminated.
End Game: The game continues until one player successfully collects the entire 52-card deck.
